Guide To Choosing The Right Floor/Surface Cleaning Products

FACT 1: The most common floor cleaners used in homes is Phenol and/or its derivatives. What is not commonly known is that Phenol is a disinfectant and not a floor cleaner. The strong smell of Phenol gives a negative feeling of the floor being clean. So, phenol odour is not good and is also not the best floor cleaner. FACT 2: The National Institute of Health has classified Phenol as corrosive, toxic, and carcinogenic with high dermal penetration resulting in absorption in the skin and bloodstream causing severe toxicity. It can also affect the CNS, heart, blood vessels, lungs, and kidney causing preliminary distress dark urine and kidney damage. FACT 3: Phenol is not bio-degradable and hence gets back into the water table and into drinking water.

  • It is also an insect repellent.
  • Safe, Eco-friendly, and Bio-degradable.

It acts as a natural disinfectant and repels bugs & insects. Here is a list of surfaces where you can use it:
  • Tiles

We do not recommend that you use it on Italian Marble and Hardwood floors. Particularly for these type of surfaces, try our natural cleaner on a small area to check it out.
