There are over 3500 species of mosquitoes in the world today. Mosquitoes are a vector agent that carries disease causing viruses and parasites from person to person without exhibiting symptoms themselves. Mosquitoes are estimated to transmit disease to more than 700 million people annually in Africa, South America, Central America, Mexico, Russia and much of Asia resulting in more than 2 million deaths per year from various mosquito related diseases. In India there is more than 200,000 deaths reported from Malaria alone per year.
